Forma can be used on a number of areas such as, the forehead, crow’s feet, upper eyelids, lower eyelids, nasolabial folds, jowls and neck. On the body, popular areas include the arms and abdomen. This is an ideal treatment to prepare skin before an important event, social engagements and on the run up to the busy festive season for skin that’s glowing, tight and radiant.
Forma is an almost painless procedure to undergo thanks to the precise technology and deep-layer targeting of the skin. The mild redness that accompanies the treated area of the skin is transitory and settles usually within hours following the procedure. This can be performed as a lunchtime procedure owing to the minimal downtime associated with the treatment, as well as the immediate tightening effects seen.
All patients who visit Anna Baker Aesthetics will undertake a detailed medical consultation and assessment of their areas of concern. This allows us to approximate the number of treatments based upon the expected level of improvement from treatment, as well as the baseline condition of the area(s) to be treated. It is generally recommended that 6 treatments may be necessary, with 1 treatment performed each week. For some individuals with mild skin laxity, fewer sessions may be required.
At Anna Baker Aesthetics, our key priority is the safety of our patients, and we generally advise for different aesthetic treatments to be spaced apart. Whilst Forma is a safe and excellent treatment for many indications, we do no advise patients undergo this treatment in the same area as another procedure on the same day (for example, an injectable treatment like dermal fillers). It can, however, be effectively combined with Dermalux LED on the same day to enhance overall results as this is a non-invasive treatment, which is clinically proven to calm skin post-procedurally.
Yes-these are explained to you in detail during your initial consultation, as well as on the day of treatment. We advise patients to withhold from application of make-up for 48 hours after treatment and to commence a broad spectrum (UVA & UVB) spf 30 (or above) used daily long-term.
