Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy is a type of injectable skin biorevitalisation treatment which combines hyaluronic acid with a specific combination of amino acids, vitamins and minerals.

It is an excellent and minimally invasive treatment option to rejuvenate and brighten skin on the face and neck, as well as areas of the body. Typically, it is given as a course of treatment, with maintenance recommended thereafter for best results. At Anna Baker Skin Clinic, I use SkinkoE mesotherapy for it’s strong safety profile, as well proven brightening and hydrating action to the skin, which can often be seen after just 1 treatment. Mesotherapy comprises multiple small quantities of hyaluronic acid injected superficially in the skin, which allows them to disperse quickly into the desired area of the skin for best results.

Frequently asked questions

There is mild discomfort during treatment. An effective topical anaesthetic will be applied to the skin prior to the treatment commencing to ensure comfort is maintained throughout the procedure. Ultra-fine needles are used to ensure precise placement, and to further minimise any discomfort. The skin is thoroughly disinfected before, during, and after the treatment, which helps to ensure redness settles quickly.

All patients who visit Anna Baker Skin Clinic will undertake a detailed medical consultation and assessment of their areas of concern SkinkoE mesotherapy is recommended as a course of treatment. Typically, 4 treatments are given, with a 3-week interval, which can be repeated twice a year to maintain optimum skin health and best results. SkinkoE mesotherapy is ideally complemented with a bespoke daily skincare regimen to maximise treatment results.

Yes-these are explained to you in detail during your initial consultation, as well as on the day of treatment. We advise patients to withhold from application of make-up after treatment and to commence a broad spectrum (UVA & UVB) spf 30 (or above) used daily long-term. Additionally, we advise to withhold from consuming alcohol for 24 hours post-treatment, as well as abstaining from vigorous physical exercise, sauna & steam room also for 24 hours following treatment.

At Anna Baker Aesthetics, our key priority is the safety of our patients, and we generally advise for different aesthetic treatments to be spaced apart. Whilst mesotherapy is a safe & established treatment for many indications, we do no advise patients undergo this treatment in the same area as another procedure on the same day. It can, however, be effectively combined with Dermalux Tri-Wave MD on the same day to enhance overall results as this is a non-invasive treatment, which is clinically proven to calm skin post-procedurally.

Yes-absolutely! In terms of the ideal maintenance number of treatments required, this is discussed at your consultation. Typically 2 treatment courses can be performed each year, but this may vary by individual.
